A Peaceful Revolution - A Gift From the Heart
The Lifespring Foundation brings
the Basic Training to Moscow
In 1989, before the fall of communism in
the former Soviet Union, 145 people from all over the USSR began
the Lifespring Basic Training which was sponsored by the Lifespring
Foundation and "Soviet Travels for Peace and Environment,"
a branch of the Soviet Peace Committee. Twenty-four Americans representing
the Lifespring graduate body and the Foundation flew to Moscow to
present the people of the Soviet Union with the gift of transformation.
Rather than attempt to describe this momentous, and now historic,
event to you, we'll allow the following firsthand quotes and comments
to communicate the incredibly moving and exciting experience which
was shared by the Soviet and American participants.
THE SOVIETS:
Mark P., Scientist
I gained increased spontaneity. Spontaneity is the key to the heart
and soul of each person. That's why the Lifespring experience is
unique for me.
I will now approach other people in different
ways. I will not only respond to the image which he is wearing.
I will look into his heart and into his soul, and I will interact
only with the essence of his being, because everything else is unimportant.
I don't know who was the first to come up
with the idea of having Lifespring come to the USSR, but I do know
for certain that the thought was God-sent. It became a reality in
your heroic work in Moscow.
Having happiness handed to you by the Americans
is more than just happiness on the personal level. It signifies
becoming an avid advocate of Peace on Earth. It means trusting that
mankind has a future.
With all the passion that I experienced, I will do everything I
can so that hundreds and thousands of people in my country familiarize
themselves with the Lifespring process.

Moscow My personal belief is that people have been living
in this country for quite a long time without developing a state
of toleration, kindness, understanding, and good feelings towards
each other. Having to go through a lot of shortages in food and
consumer products, your neighbor was artificially being turned into
your competitor in everyday life. Instead of trying to lead the
life of a community, people started separating themselves from each
other. Lifespring turns this economy upside down.
