What Was the Lifespring Foundation?
Lifespring, Inc. wanted a vehicle through
which Lifespring and graduates of Lifespring trainings could contribute
to their communities. Thus, The Lifespring Foundation, a nonprofit
public benefit corporation, was incorporated in California in 1975.
The Foundation is legally, organizationally, and financially separate
from Lifespring, Inc. The Foundation, which conducts trainings as
a public service, is chartered specifically to facilitate and evaluate
personal and professional development trainings for other nonprofit
organizations, and to raise funds and do volunteer work for charitable
nonprofit organizations.
The Lifespring Foundation has conducted trainings
for the Oregon State Penitentiary system, the Oregon Job Corps,
mental health workers in Portland, people over the age of 60 (the
"60-Plus" Trainings), Ft Grant prison, the Arizona Federal
Correctional Institution, Pleasanton, California, Broch Bridge Correctional
Unit, Jessup Maryland, Vandenberg Air Force Base, California, The
San Jose Police Department, the Arizona Center for Women, CETA,
Colorado, Bay Area Law Enforcement, San Quentin State Prison, and
the District of Columbia Correctional Facility.
